Lifestyle | 2017 In Review

Better late than never… as you can imagine 2017 has been a big year for me. I thought I would document in pictures below my year, not only to share with my readers but to also give me a moment to reflect and in time to come enjoy.

January 2017 

The year sure did start with a bang, Tom and I flew to New York on Boxing Day to enjoy our last trip in the Big Apple for some time…

At the end of January my nana celebrated her 90th birthday, Tom was still at university in Newcastle so I got the train up and met my Mum, Nan and Tom for some celebrations at the top of the Baltic…

February 2017

March 2017

April 2017

Spring had started to Spring and I took myself out on another solo trip, to Oxford this time for the Oxford Literary Festival where I got to see Alexandra Shulman and Sali Hughes being interviewed…

I also had the best full English I had ever had!! At the wonderful Soho Farmhouse with my godmother Sophie…

Finally at the end of April, Coping With Colitis was born, this image was taken two days before my colonoscopy where I would finally get answers. I was out with my mum and Tom for Sunday lunch where I got an egg mayo sandwich – I was too terrified to eat anything else…

May 2017

I was a few weeks into the steroids when the below photo was taken, I was feeling great, alive, and on the road to recovery…

June 2017

My sister Mayssam was flying through London on her way back to Canada when we got to say a quick hello at a bar we had been wanting to try for quite sometime, Cahoots! The weather was starting to get warm…

At the end of June I was very lucky to get to see Adele live at Wembley before she cancelled the rest of her Wembley dates! It was an amazing show…

July 2017

Tom and I went to Fitou, where Tom’s parents have a home, this was the first time we had been alone. We had a wonderful trip with some fabulous weather. Below is our first night eating delicious food…

July was also the month Tom graduated from Newcastle University with an MPLan in Urban Planning, we had a wonderful weekend celebrating in Newcastle…

And Tom turned 24… Happy Birthday Tom…

August 2017

Tom moved to Cambridge to start his new job, we went out for some Dim Sum at the High Tea Palace on Mill Road where they have this amazing mural on the bathroom wall…

September 2017
