Snack-o-clock | Keeping Elevenses at Bay

I thought I would share with you my go-to-snacks whilst I am at work, so you are covered when that 11 o clock hunger strikes or 3 o clock slump when you feel like you need a bit of sugar (of course, I am not perfect and when there is chocolate or cake flying around the office I have a little bit). I would happily say these are relatively ‘healthy’ snacks, I mean better than a chocolate bar or crisps, that’s for sure. I have found that even through flares these snacks suit me, and I usually end up buying whatever is on offer as they can tend to be quite expensive. (I shop mainly at Waitrose, I know some of the foods below are only available at Waitrose, Ocado, Planet Organic, Whole Foods etc.)

If you click on the links below it will take you to a page where the full nutritional information is available and ingredients. I will pull out the information that I tend to look for which is Carbohydrates of Which Sugars, Saturated Fat and Calories.

Go Ahead! Crispy Slices Apple and Sultana

The Coconut Collaborative Little Choc Pots

Again you have to be a coconut lover for these little pots of joy, these ones I keep at home 🙂 after dinner I love something sweet, in fact I don’t feel satisfied until I have eaten something sweet – and these are a great mid week treat. Very rich and indulgent, but I feel better eating this than one of those melt in the middle Gu puddings (ahhhhh, they are delicious though!)

  • Fat 6.4 grams / Saturated Fat – 5.04 grams / Mono-Unsaturates – 1.02 grams

(You get 4 in a pack, and I try and make this last a month, they are a treat!) Another little treat from them, which is a twist on a British Classic Rice Pudding…
